After studying art history, law and economics, (master’s degree in trade in icons, DESS) and a year as a researcher in art history at the EHESS in Paris (department of Byzantine and neo-Hellenistic studies), Anne-Claire has accumulated twenty years of expertise and experience in art insurance with the largest insurance and reinsurance companies in Germany, as a specialized underwriter on behalf of an English company, syndicate of Lloyd’s and, finally, of Swiss brokerage firms.
Member of the RAM (anti-money laundering in the art market) experts’ committee, supervisor of master’s/MBA dissertations, she co-signed a book on the Zoubov collection (18th century decorative art collection in Geneva), regularly intervenes as an expert with private and public institutions and teaches:
- at the University of Zürich – Executive Master in Art Market Studies
- at the University of Geneva – HEC Genève
- at the Art Law Foundation Geneva
- at the Société de lecture
- at ENASS in Paris (MBA)
- at the CNAM in Paris (MBA)
- as well as at various symposia and conferences (on the art market, major trends in contemporary art, art as an alternative investment, insurance of art and objects of value…)
Anne-Claire is of Swiss nationality and speaks French, English and German.

After university studies in hospitality management and marketing at Glion Institute of Higher Education (Switzerland), Alice acquired experience in the wealth management and private banking sector in Switzerland.
Passionate about the art world since childhood, she pursued a master’s degree in modern and contemporary art history at the University of Glasgow and Christie’s Education in the United Kingdom.
Before joining Artssurance, Alice worked in Switzerland for one of the most renowned international art and valuables insurance companies as an art expert and specialized underwriter.
Alice is involved:
- as a member of the RAM advisory committee (aims to combat money laundering in the art market)
- as an insurance representative of the Professional Advisors to the International Art Market (PAIAM)
- in the Verbier Art Summit
Of Swiss-Swedish origin, she is fluent in French, Swedish and English.
Head of Underwriting
After earning a Bachelor’s in Law and Geography in Paris and in England and a Master’s in Environmental Sciences (specialization in water treatment and green economic growth) between Geneva, Tokyo and Seoul, Sonia joined a brokerage firm in general insurance where she gained experience in managing insurance portfolios.
Passionate about modern art, contemporary art and architecture since childhood, it was after meeting Anne-Claire Bisch-Saffioti that Sonia decided to specialize in the insurance of art objects and valuables.
In addition to her activities with Artssurance, Sonia handles communications (volunteering) for several environmental associations/foundations active in Switzerland and in Europe.
Sonia speaks French, English, Spanish and basic Japanese and Korean.
